An American delegation headed by Lt. Gen. Ben Hodges, commander of the U.S. ground forces in Europe, arrived in Armenia last month for an official visit. Lt. Gen. Hodges took part in the opening ceremony of a monument to the Soviet-Armenian marshal Amazasp Babadzhanyan, stating that he was visiting Armenia to strengthen ties between the armed forces of the two countries.
