Ambassador Norland told reporters that that the U.S. – Georgian relationship is “as strong as ever.” Referring to the recent resolution by the U.S. House of Representatives, he said, “Congress has been interested for many years in the progress of democracy in Georgian and whenever’s there’s something that causes concern – in this case the arrest of a former prime minister - then naturally the Congress is going to show interest."
