On December 11 Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asian Affairs Nisha Desai Biswal welcomed a delegation of Uzbek Government officials led by Foreign Minister Kamilov to Washington for the fourth U.S-Uzbekistan Annual Bilateral Consultations. Within the framework of these consultations, Deputy Secretary Burns met Foreign Minister Kamilov on December 9 for a discussion of bilateral ties.
