U.S. Secretary of Defense Chuck Hagel visited Saudi Arabia to meet with Crown Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud to discuss Iran, the U.S. military presence in the Gulf, and the upcoming GCC Defense Ministerial meeting.

U.S. Secretary of Defense Chuck Hagel addresses the Manama Dialogue to discuss the U.S. security commitment to allies in the Gulf, including weapons sales, the U.S. footprint in the region, and the possible expansion of security relationships. Specifically, Hagel spoke about U.S. policy with respect to both the ongoing crisis in Syria and the P5+1 preliminary nuclear deal with Iran.
