Recent attacks on members of the Civil Council of Popular and Indigenous Organizations of Honduras (COPINH) have not altered the U.S. decision to send the country its full funding package. As the climate in Honduras becomes increasingly more dangerous for human rights and environmental leaders, the continuation of U.S. security aid to Honduras will continue to be a point of contention moving forward.
