U.S., British and Spanish Marines embarked aboard Military Sealift Command joint, high-speed vessel USNS Spearhead conducted a full schedule of weapons and tactics training alongside Angolan military personnel as part of Africa Partnership Station 2015 in the port of Luanda, Angola, March 2-7.

The Chilean Air Force (FACh) recently trained with the U.S. Air Force (USAF) on the best ways to use night vision goggles (NVG) in F-16 fighter jets. The training will strengthen the nighttime operations of the FACh. A team of three specialists from the 12th Air Force of the USAF traveled to Chile to train for four weeks with technical personnel from the FACh. The training focused on improving maintenance procedures and the correct use of NVG.

Six members from the Uzbekistan air force visited Columbus Air Force Base March 3 – 5, to see the 14th Flying Training Wing mission firsthand and to learn how they could structure their own pilot training program. Their visit included most of the aspects Columbus AFB has that directly contribute to producing pilots, which included the tower and radar approach control and aerospace physiology and the flying squadrons.
