The witnesses made remarks and took questions on matters related to overall U.S. policy in the region, including nuclear negotiations with Iran, future relations with Egypt and security cooperation with the Gulf Cooperation Council as well as elaborating on the U.S.' defense infrastrucutre in the Middle East.
