In order to provide better care to patients, the Western Regional Hospital in Belmopan, Belize, is receiving an addition to the facility as part of New Horizons Belize 2014. The work at the hospital is nearing completion and should be ready to hand over to hospital administrators by June 20.

The first team of four flew in via an UH-60 Black Hawk to the U.S. Embassy from Joint Task Force-Bravo, Honduras a little more than an hour’s flight away. The other SSAT, consisting of eight personnel, arrived two days later by commercial air from Army South headquarters in San Antonio.
