The US government has revealed basing and unit plans for the Royal Saudi Air Force's (RSAF's) Boeing F-15SA (Saudi Advanced) Eagle fleet ahead of the commencement of deliveries. The details were disclosed in early August in a Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps) request for information (RfI) for F-15SA support that will run from March 2017 until March 2021.

A final instalment of 25 Cheetah self-propelled anti-aircraft guns (SPAAGs) has now arrived in Jordan. Decommissioned by the Armed Forces of the Netherlands in 2006, the Cheetah (Gepard in German service) consists of a modified Leopard 1 tank hull armed with twin 35 mm Rheinmetall Air Defence guns and equipped with surveillance and tracking radars.

Israeli aerostat manufacturer RT LTA Systems announced on 26 July that it was launching a new family of platforms under the name 'SkyGuard' that are designed to carry far heavier payloads for longer periods than its existing SkyStar family. RT said its new Aero-T subsidiary will develop and produce the SkyGuard family and has already completed development of the SkyGuard 1.
