A NATO assessment team involved in the establishment of the new NATO-Georgia Joint Training and Evaluation Centre has completed its first visit to Georgia. While in Georgia, the NATO assessment team was tasked with looking at potential sites for the new facility and assisting the Georgian side implement the project, which was outlined in the NATO-Georgia Substantial Package.

Georgia is gearing up to host joint military drills with the NATO Rapid Reaction Force for the first time. The United States-Georgia joint exercise, named Noble Partner, will be carried out on the territory of Vaziani military air field and military firing-ground near Tbilisi on May 11-25.
