Hearing: The FY 2014 Budget Request: U.S. Foreign Assistance Priorities and Strategy

2172 House Rayburn Office Building Washington, DC 20515 | Apr 25, 2013 10:00am
Chairman Royce on the hearing: “President Obama has finally submitted his $52 billion International Affairs Budget Request. Given our debt crisis, the bar for justifying foreign aid is higher than ever. Wasteful spending on ineffective and unsustainable programs will not be tolerated. This hearing will provide Committee Members an opportunity to press two key agencies implementing U.S. foreign assistance programs – USAID and MCC – for an explanation of how they will effectively and efficiently use U.S. taxpayer dollars.”
