Security Assistance Monitor Launches Email Newsletters

Did you know President Obama recently asked Congress for an additional $1.6 billion for a new Iraq Train and Equip Fund to combat the Islamic State? Have you seen Jeff Stein's article in Newsweek discussing the CIA's difficulty in vetting potential recipients of U.S. training and equipment?

To help keep abreast of these stories and other key U.S. foreign security assistance news and analysis, Security Assistance Monitor launched its daily and weekly email newsletter this week.

The Weekly Monitor will be distributed every Friday afternoon and will highlight top U.S. security assistance related statements, events and legislation as well as key analysis and publications on these issues. The Daily News Monitor will provide the day's news headlines related to U.S. security assistance, trainings and arms sales.
